A map generated with the "standard" configuration but different colors for
highlands and plains. The map contains rivers, lakes, cities and a
raster is added as well.
An example of a map with custom city names (from Finland). The terrain
is very flat and the map raster was changed. The map was rendered with the
standard color settings.
To the left a map of a desert. No sea, few rivers, few cities and the terrain was
only slightly distorted. Obviously, the colors for highlands and plains
were altered. No coast line is drawn and the sea is painted in "death valley"
colors.
Somewhere in a mountain range. Very distorted terrain, only a small amount
of sea area and just some rivers and towns. Everything is colored in tones
of blue and green.
A map of islands in the south sea. The effect of fragmented land areas
is achieved by small terrain tiles and a narrow height range. Also
unusual, green tones are used for water areas.
The map to the right shows Nowhereland. All the sea is
painted black, strange colors were used for mountains, the highland
and plains. City names and symbols have differnt colors as well.
