smooth and soft if you enable sea smoothing.

Rendering
In an atlas deserts normally appear in differnt colors than ice lands.
MapStudio allows to change all the colors for differnt areas in the map.

Realistic terrain contains rivers and lakes. MapStudio has this feature as well.

City Creation
Have some humans settled in your land? Add cities and towns to the map
and use your own city names (if you want "your" city to be in the map ;-)
