Map ID
MapStudio uses a pseudo random generator for map creation. The value in the Map ID field is the seed for the random number generator. Therefore, this value determines completely the final outcome of the map generation (together with all other MapStudio feature settings).

Randomize
This this button is selected, MapStudio automatically generates a new map ID before a new map is created. Turning off randomizing map IDs is useful when you want to change some settings (i.e. colors) without changing the final result of the map generation. Note that also other settings influence the final outcome.

Horizontal Size (64-1024)
The horinzotal size of the map.

Vertical Size (64-1024)
The vertical size of the map.

Ground Zero
If ground zero is selected, the height value that separates sea areas (below ground zero) from land areas (above ground zero) is choosen according to the adjustment of the slider between range minimum and range maximum.

Land %
If you want a certain amount of map space to be land and the rest sea, you could enable this option. After terraforming, the value of ground zero is computed so that the desired amount of terrain is above ground zero (land).

Terrain Height Range (Flat, Hilly, Craggy)
The setting of this slider influcences how big the difference between the deepest and the highest point in the terrain could be. If the height range is small, the outcome will be a flat terrain; if it is big, a more hilly terrain will be the result.
